Emerging Music Leaders 2025
Welcome to our Emerging Music Leaders for 2025-26! They will be taking part in a course of 3 CPD sessions, joining our team on placements on our Sound Start project, and taking part in group coaching sessions. We're looking forward to learning from and with them.

Buse Abohorlj
Music has always been at the heart of who I am. From a young age, it’s been my way of expressing myself and connecting with others. After graduating with a degree in Music, I knew I wanted to merge my artistic passion with a strong foundation in business. This September, I’m starting my master’s in International Business Management at the University of Winchester, which I see as the perfect way to bridge these two worlds. That’s why I’m so excited to be a part of the Emerging Music Leaders Programme. I see this as an incredible opportunity to not only grow personally but to also contribute to the music community by helping emerging artists find their voices and thrive in an industry that’s constantly evolving.
Témilola Adekola-David
My name is Témilola and I am a London based artist who tries to push the boundaries of music as I create Alternative R&B and Afropop. My art is a blend of my Nigerian roots and London influences derived from the vibrant energy of London, resulting in a unique and dynamic sound. I’m constantly drawn to sound exploration and creativity, always looking for new ways to express my or other peoples’ emotions and experiences through music. I believe everyone is amazing in their own way, and I want to inspire people to embrace their individuality and express themselves freely. I like to take my time and appreciate all the things around me in life because it is in appreciation that you can enjoy life.

Hannah Adenaike
Hannah is a passionate youth worker who runs Turnaround, an intervention program in the Justice Service dedicated to supporting at-risk young people. With a deep curiosity for learning and a love for music, Hannah integrates creative approaches into her work, using music as a powerful tool for self-expression and healing. Through Turnaround, she creates safe spaces for young people to explore their emotions, build confidence, and develop positive life skills. Her innovative approach, combining transformation coaching with musical exploration, has inspired countless young individuals to discover their voices and transform their lives.
Pearl Bloor Fish
Pearl Fish is a musician and songwriter who currently travels the London canal system.
The past year she hit the road for independent tours in a songwriting collective, with sold out shows at cult venues Cafe #9 (Sheffield), Frome’s the Hideaway and The Greennote (London). She’s played stages at Cambridge Folk Festival, Greenbelt and Liverpool Sound City and supporting artists such as Rachel Sermanni on tour with The Nest Collective and Grace Petrie at Glasgow’s King Tuts as part of Celtic Connections.
As a songwriter she is interested in interpreting folk music tradition as a way of documenting the human experience within cultural and political contexts. She has been a participant and trainee practitioner in Flotsam CIC, an intercultural song sharing community. This, combined with her early musical experiences stemming from Southwark Music Services, moves her to continue integrating her experiences as a singer and songwriter into collaborative, explorative and playful music making in community settings.

Joe Browning
An interdisciplinary artist, sound designer and founder of Cagney.org: a multimedia experiment synthesising new media with live community arts. Joe is a composer and performer, using digital technology and devising techniques to create for theatre and film productions across England and internationally. Outside of these collaborations, Joe uses original production and archival sound to explore media’s role in forming memory and identity. Check out some of his recent work here.
Phoebe Cross
Phoebe discovered her love of inclusive early years music-making through her work at Youth Music including training with Magic Acorns and Take Art. They're a drummer, percussionist and singer, playing in their bands Happy Accidents, ME REX and cheerbleederz. She thrived as a musician in the UK DIY scene, regularly running inclusive drum workshops. She is excited to combine her interest in early childhood with music-making and get stuck in!
