London Rhymes is singing/song-writing project developed and led by one of our Early Years specialists, Rosie Adediran.
In partnership with Hackney Playbus from 2017-18, Creative Futures delivered London Rhymes in six children’s centres and community centres around London supported by Youth Music. Each project saw mothers and babies under 2 years old working with Rosie and other musicians to create songs which celebrated the joys and challenges of parenting. More than 40 songs have now been created and recorded and are available to listen to here. The project is currently continuing at one of its original locations, The Magpie Project in Newham.
Here is a short video about this project:
With funding from The Space CIC, we were commissioned to launch a number of these songs – complete with animations by artist Claire Fauché – on YouTube.
London Rhymes’ values:
Original and quality tunes for the modern-day family
Songs are written by the team, together with families on our 'rhymes’ projects
Animated by our resident artist Claire, to bring you quality content that’s a treat for the eyes and the ears!
