Music For Change

We are pleased to announce funding from Youth Music, John Lyon’s Charity, and The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation for a long-term early years project in three disadvantaged wards in north Westminster (Queen’s Park, Harrow Road and Westbourne wards). ‘Music for Change’ will explore how a specially devised programme of weekly music sessions can enhance the all-round development of children aged 2 to 4 years. In addition to weekly workshops in nurseries and children’s centres delivered by inspiring musicians, the programme will include training for nursery staff, live performances, and a collaboration with Speech and Language Therapists to devise activities which enhance the communication skills of children with speech and language delay.
