Schools
Creative Futures is experienced in delivering bespoke arts programmes across the education sector, particularly in early years and primary schools.
Our highly skilled artists can provide music, drama, dance, poetry, creative writing and film projects which have the potential to help young people achieve across the curriculum and can help them flourish socially and emotionally.
Here are some examples:
Musical Games (Key Stages 1 & 2, including SEND)
Musical Games is a vocal improvisation and body percussion project designed to build children’s self-confidence and resilience. It is delivered by two Creative Futures musicians who are respectively also a Speech and Language Therapist and a Music Therapist. Participating children (either a whole class or target group) work together to create rhythms, songs, or collective movement and sound which supports physiological wellbeing. The project helps children relax, heal, feel a sense of group belonging and happiness.

The Word (Key Stages 1 & 2)
Whether you want to put on a Poetry Slam or a more reflective poetry project we have numerous spoken word artists on our books who are experienced in delivering inspiring and thought-provoking poetry and spoken word workshops. Projects can be linked to specific curriculum themes, milestone events, or Year 6 transition, and can conclude with a performance event or printed anthology. The project supports literacy, creative skills, alongside personal development, confidence and teamwork.
Scenes from the Movies (Key Stage 3)
This project enables KS3 pupils to explore acting and drama using scenes and monologues from the movies. It encourages young people to see themselves not just as actors and directors, but as storytellers, creators and collaborators in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Hopes & Futures (Year 6 Transition project)
Hopes and Futures is a Year 6 transition project. A pilot was delivered in a 3-form entry primary school in Harrow in 2023, and it can be adapted to other schools in future.
Pupils explored their feelings around the transition from primary to secondary school with a spoken word and movement artist through interactive creative sessions. This included reflecting on their big wins in Year 6, thinking back over the best memories of their time in primary school, and thinking forward to what they might be excited or nervous about for their move to secondary school. Alongside personal stories, Hopes and Futures explored broader themes around diversity, culture, and self-expression to deepen their sense of community and connection to Harrow.
"Doing this project has made me feel less anxious about going to secondary school. It was nice to talk to others in my classroom and hear about their thoughts. It made me feel like I’m not the only one feeling worried and that we have similar feelings." (Year 6 participant)
By the end of the project, students had each created an individual poem about change and a collaborative poem on diversity, which was beautifully presented in a printed project anthology.
“The children have really loved this project. We’ve seen some of our most anxious students become more confident in presenting and talking about their experience of going to secondary school in a positive way.” (Year 6 Teacher)
