Steps into Music
Steps into Music is Creative Futures’ long-running programme of music in early years settings in Hackney, east London. We provide experienced early years music facilitators to provide music sessions with families in Children’s Centres, and with children in nursery settings. The project reaches hundreds of children every week, supporting many aspects of early childhood development.
Our current partners include:

“Working with Creative Futures has been a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team is proactive, supportive, and genuinely committed to making the project succeed. It’s been a real pleasure collaborating and seeing the impact of the work we’re doing together. The Double Bass Dan music sessions have also been a huge hit, engaging, joyful, and a real highlight for the children & parents.” (Family Centre Manager)
"I think the songs and actions have helped my child develop in lots of ways. He often 'sings' at home which I think is from attending the sessions regularly. I think the sessions have helped him with his confidence, concentration, social skills and with his motor development such as hand-eye coordination. Likewise, he learns from the other children that attend, and he has learnt to share, for example sharing instruments with other children." (Parent)
